We accept all major credit cards and bank payments. We also accept and prefer Etransfer payments since it avoids processing fees.

A $150 retainer is due at the time of booking to reserve your time and date. 

For Standard and Enhanced Sessions, the balance is due on the date of the session. 

For cancellations or rescheduling, we just ask that you contact us at least 24 hours prior to your session. There is no rescheduling fee and you'll get a full refund should you decide to cancel.

Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will incur a $50 cancellation charge and no-shows will forfeit the full amount of the retainer

Dress the part for the industry you're in or to match your creative style.

We recommend wearing solid, neutral colours. Busy patterns and stripes don't usually photograph well and distract from the most important part of the image, which is your face.

Avoid logos and badges unless it's part of your employment attire.

For professional or corporate headshots, be sure that your clothing fits snugly and is clean and pressed. Check to see if your employer has specific requirements.

Artists, musicians, actors, performers and models can of course wear whatever they're most comfortable in to match their personality or achieve the look they're going for. 

Feel free to bring multiple clothing items to mix and match during the session. Bring along extra jackets, ties, blouses, shirts and sweaters.

Most important is that your clothes feel comfortable and you feel comfortable in them.

SLEEP

Skip the party the night before and try and get a good night's sleep. You'll want to look refreshed and feel great for your session.

STAY HYDRATED

Drink plenty of water the day before and day of your session. Your skin will thank you.

HAIR

If you have facial hair, be sure to cleanly shave a couple of hours before your headshot, especially if you are prone to rashes or nicks. Beards should be neatly trimmed.

Men should have their haircut at least 5 days before their session. We don't want little spiky hairs that are always present right after a fresh haircut.

Women, of course, can have their hair styled on the day of the session. However, if you're planning a cut and colour, allow about 5 days before your session.

Bring along anything you use to style your hair in case we have to tame flyaways.

Don't forget to trim those pesky nose and ear hairs.

GLASSES

If you normally wear glasses, bring them along. If you have several frames, bring those too. We can shoot several looks for you.

Clean your glasses before the session. We'll have a cleaning cloth and solution on hand, but prefer you to bring your own.

Avoid transition lenses if possible. 

MAKEUP

If you're getting your make-up done professionally, be sure to tell your make-up artist that it's for a photo shoot. If you're doing it yourself, avoid using any reflective or shiny makeup.

Do not apply moisturizer or face lotion before your session. The studio lights will create hot spots on your face.

We recommend avoiding excessive makeup for your professional headshot.

If you wear lipstick, bring it along.

JEWELRY

Depending on the intent of your headshot, jewelry can be worn. Bring along jewelry you love, however, we recommend avoiding large pieces of jewelry as it can be distracting.  We can also shoot with and without jewelry to give you added options.

Absolutely. We offer staff and team headshots at your location. We have a portable backdrop and lighting system that we can take anywhere. 

We can also accommodate environmental portraits in natural surroundings, either outdoors or indoors.

We're confident we can create a great image for you. However, we don't just want you to be satisfied with your image. We want you to love it! 

If for whatever reason, you don't feel like we captured a great image and you are dissatisfied, we will give you the option of a re-shoot, or fully refund any payments made.

We offer professional retouching for each purchased image. This includes things like blemish removal, stray hair removal, removing lint on clothing, reducing face shine, correcting skin discoloration, and reducing under-eye bags. We keep our retouching light and natural.

We can take things a little further if the client desires. For example, we can reduce or eliminate wrinkles, soften skin, whiten eyes and teeth, reshape any facial part or the face itself, slim the body, and change hair colour or eye colour. We recommend that any of these adjustments be made in moderation. After all, we still want you to look like you.
